Hamilton is presenting his session, streaming live from Paris, France during the 24 hour Artificial (Un)Intelligence Conference.

Session Description

Hamilton Mann challenges a fundamental assumption: AI does not need more artificial intelligence but rather more artificial integrity. He argues that pursuing machines that emulate higher artificial intelligence without incorporating the ability to be guided by and exhibit integrity would be neither safe nor responsible.

Introducing the transformative concept of “artificial integrity,” Hamilton Mann proposes a paradigm shift by defining a "design code" that ensures AI systems align with, amplify, and uphold human values and societal norms, maximizing integrity-driven outcomes. He states, “In the AI innovation race, it is no longer sufficient to develop systems that compute value; we must create systems that comprehend values.” Mann advocates for changing the path of what could become unsecured, uncontrolled, unjust, uncredited, uncompensated, and consequently uncentred human-AI advancements.
