Framework for Responsible Enterprise AI Governance
David Roldán Martínez
ABOUT THE SESSION
In this insightful talk, David Roldán Martínez, Global CTO of IB4AI, presents a pragmatic and research-driven approach to building responsible AI governance inside enterprise organizations. Drawing from his PhD work, David introduces the Ethos Framework — a layered, holistic model designed to help companies implement AI ethically, transparently, and sustainably.
He begins by outlining why AI governance is lagging behind adoption — complexity, lack of regulation, and organizational silos have slowed progress. He then distinguishes AI governance from traditional IT governance, explaining that AI’s dependence on distributed data, automation, and human oversight requires a fundamentally different structure.
Through his concept of layering, inspired by models like TCP/IP, David shows how organizations can simplify complex ethical and operational challenges without oversimplifying the governance problem. The result is a proactive, integrated framework that unites technical, regulatory, and moral dimensions — moving beyond compliance toward responsible intelligence.
